This silver enameled decorative peacock is  approximately 17.5 cm high. Meenakari is the art of enamelling on various type of metals, believed to have been introduced to India by Persian settlers. The city of Varanasi or Banaras, is famed for its Gulabi (Pink) meenakari. A painstaking handmade process, a single piece of meenakari takes several days to prepare.
